Walter John Mueller (born December 6, 1894 in Central, Missouri – August 16, 1971 in St. Louis, Missouri) was a professional baseball player who played outfield in the Major Leagues from 1922 to 1926. Mueller would play for the Pittsburgh Pirates. On May 27, 1922 he became the first major leaguer ever to hit a home run on his first pitch ever seen in the Major Leagues. His son, Don Mueller, nicknamed Mandrake The Magician, played in the 1950's.
